DOMUS

DOMUS is very flexible insurance which is capable of providing truly comprehensive insurance protection for your house, household and your liability for damage. It can even meet the needs of demanding clients, who want to have their insurance “tailor-made”.

What can be insured with DOMUS insurance?

Generally, the following can be insured with DOMUS insurance:

Family houses,
Recreational cottages or lodges,
Garages,
Apartments,
Households.

Apart from this, with the insurance of a house, recreational cottage or chalet it is possible to supplementarily insure also:

Adjacent buildings,
Garages,
A pool,
Fencing,
Wells
Sewage treatment plant,
Ways.

Supplementary {liability insurance} also forms a part of the standard package.

Also of interest to clients are the various special types of supplementary insurance offered, such as the insurance of {machinery} or {mechanical and electronic equipment} against “technical risks”, wheelchairs used by the handicapped or even {animals} bred for pleasure.

General assistance services are included in every insurance policy which, for a fee, may be upgraded to supplementary assistance services.

{Accident insurance} is an above-standard type of supplementary insurance which may be concluded under DOMUS insurance.

Who is DOMUS aimed at?

Essentially everybody. Our clients can be not only the owners of family houses, recreational cottages or chalets, apartments or garages to whom we can offer property insurance within the framework of DOMUS insurance, but also those who live in rental apartments or houses and for whom household insurance is more appropriate.

For what events is DOMUS concluded?

The program STANDARD is the most common insurance offered for household insurance, which is concluded for damage caused by:

fire, explosion, lightning strike or airplane crash
storm, hail
earthquake
fallen trees or posts
weight of snow or frost
water from water mains or sewage lines
theft or intentional damage (vandalism)

On top of the STANDARD insurance it is also possible to conclude supplementary insurance to cover floods.

How can DOMUS help me?

In the event of an insurable event, the insurance company will provide you with funds to repair the damaged object or even to acquire a new one if the insured object was destroyed or stolen.

If your household becomes inhabitable as a result of an insurable event, the insurance company will also cover the costs incurred for temporary housing up to the amount of CZK 30,000.

Our assistance service CSOB Pojišťovna Assistance is prepared to help you resolve any type of emergency 24 hours a day. If supplementary assistance services have been concluded, we can not only call a professional who will help you resolve the emergency, but also pay for you the costs associated with resolving such an emergency up to an agreed financial amount.

Example – household insurance

Mr. Novák lives in Pardubice in a rented apartment and would like to take out household insurance. He estimates the value of the objects in the insured household to be CZK 400,000. Because Mr. Novák is very responsible, he takes out not only basic insurance, but also supplementary flood insurance as his apartment is located in the close vicinity of a river.
